You never know, Adobe might take the opportunity to bring LR Classic features into LRCC and eventually abandon Classic when support for Intel is finally dropped. However, this certainly gives Adobe and other developers plenty of time to roadmap the transition of their software. Rosetta will ensure there is support for intel for many years to come. Even though the transition of the mac line up to ARM will take around 2 years, they still have new intel powered macs still in the pipeline. The new version of MacOS will also include Rosetta 2 to support apps which haven't been transitioned. Especially for old Apps that is a PiTA and Adobe already had problems moving photoshop to ARM.īut for Lightroom, their new "mobile" Lightroom that is now the normal Lightroom is already optimized for multi-platform support. Obviously Adobe has to move most of their Cloud apps over to the new platform.
